Fulmer recalled to Majors as rosters expand

Carson Fulmer, the No. 11 White Sox prospect according to MLBPipeline.com, was one of two September callups made prior to Friday's series opener with the Rays at Guaranteed Rate Field. Left-hander David Holmberg also was added to the roster from Triple-A Charlotte.

At Ari's Class AA Mobile affiliate was a Southern League All-Star...ranked among the SL pitching leaders in ERA (2.75, 4th), innings pitched (157.1, 3rd), starts (26, T4th) and WHIP (1.19, 5th)...was promoted on 8/27 and in his Major League debut started that night's 10-inning, 10-9 win vs SD (3.2ip, 6h, 3er, 3bb, 0k, 80pch)...returned to Mobile following that appearance and finished the season with the BayBears.

2012

In 27 starts at Class A Visalia and Class AA Mobile went 11-8, 3.32 while throwing 173.1 innings, tied for the second-highest IP total by any minor league pitcher...was a mid-season California League All-Star.
