White Sox announce details for tribute to the Jackie Robinson West All-Star team

CHICAGO - The Chicago White Sox announced details for the special pregame recognition of Jackie Robinson West All-Stars Little League team planned before the 6:10 p.m. game this Saturday at U.S. Cellular Field.  

During the pregame ceremony, Chicago White Sox Charities will present the Jackie Robinson West Little League with a $20,000 donation.  The White Sox will present each of the 13 players on the team with Sox jerseys with their own numbers, each autographed by every member of the 2014 White Sox. Each of the Jackie Robinson West All-Star players also will receive a back-to-school package, which includes a White Sox backpack, a copy of "Opening Day: The Story of Jackie Robinson's First Season" and $100 in school supplies, on behalf of the team

The White Sox will commemorate the tremendous accomplishments of the Jackie Robinson West All-Stars Little League World Series U.S. Championship with a special plaque at U.S. Cellular Field. The plaque will be unveiled during the 2015 season.

The White Sox are hosting 2014 Jackie Robinson West All-Star team members, coaches and family for the game as guests of the team on Saturday for the second game of the doubleheader in recognition of their tremendous accomplishments winning the Little League World Series United States Championship.  All fans attending the game are encouraged to wear gold in honor of the champions.
