Reminder: White Sox split doubleheader information for Saturday

CHICAGO - The Chicago White Sox-Detroit Tigers game from June 10, which was postponed due to rain, will be played as part of a split doubleheader on Saturday, August 30, at U.S. Cellular Field.

The first game of the doubleheader will begin at 12:10 p.m., televised on Comcast SportsNet Plus and broadcast on WSCR-AM 670 (The Score) and 97.5 FM ESPN Deportes. Previously purchased tickets, parking passes and patio tickets from the postponed contest will be honored for the rescheduled 12:10 p.m. game. Gates to the ballpark open at 10:30 a.m.

The regularly scheduled contest vs. Detroit (the second game of the split doubleheader) is set for 6:10 p.m., and will be televised on WGN-TV, along with being broadcast on WSCR-AM 670 (The Score) and 97.5 FM ESPN Deportes. Gates to the ballpark open at 4:40 p.m. for the second game.

The Jackie Robinson West All-Stars Little League team will be honored during a special ceremony prior to the second game of the split doubleheader. All fans attending the game are encouraged to wear gold in honor of the champions.

Former White Sox manager and Hall of Famer Tony La Russa also will be honored in a pregame ceremony before Saturday's second game. The first 20,000 fans to enter the ballpark for the second game of the split doubleheader will receive a Tony La Russa bobblehead. La Russa will be signing autographs in Section 135 from 5-5:30 p.m. Fans also will have the opportunity to get an up-close look at the authentic Tony La Russa Hall of Fame plaque, on loan from the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown, N.Y. The plaque will be featured pregame and on display in Section 157 from the start of the game through the seventh inning.

The game will be followed by fireworks, presented by Hyundai. The display will be set to a flashback music soundtrack and feature a special video component highlighting White Sox moments.

Tickets for both games are available at, the U.S. Cellular Field ticket office and through Ticketmaster. A separate ticket is needed for both games.
