White Sox Place Adam Eaton on 15-Day DL; Recall Danks from AAA Charlotte

SEATTLE - Prior to tonight's game at Seattle, the Chicago White Sox placed outfielder Adam Eaton on the 15-day disabled list with a strained right oblique and recalled outfielder Jordan Danks from Class AAA Charlotte.

Eaton, 25, is hitting .304 (113-372) with 19 doubles, seven triples, one home run, 32 RBI, 55 runs scored and 12 stolen bases in 94 games this season, his first with the White Sox. He ranks among the American League leaders in triples (T2nd), on-base percentage (8th, .370) and average (9th). Eaton was previously on the disabled list from May 3-18 with a strained right hamstring.

Danks, 28, was with Chicago from April 10-May 7, going 4-41 (.098) with one homer, five RBI and four runs scored over 21 games (nine starts). He is the younger brother of White Sox left-hander John Danks.

He is batting .276 (91-330) with 18 doubles, 16 home runs, 56 RBI and 51 runs scored in 88 games with Charlotte this season.

Danks is a career .209 hitter (56-268) with seven home runs and 21 RBI over 150 career games with the White Sox (2012-14). He owns a .994 fielding percentage (1 E/175 TC) with Chicago.
