White Sox option Carlos Sanchez to Class AAA Charlotte


CHICAGO - Following tonight's game vs. Houston, the Chicago White Sox optioned infielder Carlos Sanchez to Class AAA Charlotte.

Sanchez, 22, appeared in one game with the White Sox after being recalled from Charlotte on July 13. He made his major-league debut the same day at Cleveland as the starting shortstop.

Sanchez is hitting .291 (102-351) with 13 doubles, six triples, five home runs, 42 RBI, 48 runs scored and 12 stolen bases in 89 games with the Knights this season. He entered the season as the third-youngest player in the International League.

The White Sox will make a corresponding roster move prior to tomorrow's series finale vs. the Astros.
