CHICAGO - The following is a recap of the Chicago White Sox first 10 selections in the 2014 First-Year Player Draft:

5 Zach Thompson RHP 20 6-7 215 University of Texas-Arlington (Burleson, Texas)
6 Louie Lechich OF 22 6-4 205 University of San Diego (Stockton, Calif.)
7 Jake Peter SS 21 6-0 190 Creighton University (Mason City, Iowa)
8 John Ziznewski SS 23 6-2 195 Long Island University-Brooklyn (Staten Island, N.Y.)

 The following is a breakdown of the 10 players the White Sox selected through the first two days of the draft: eight from college and two from high school, five pitchers (two right-handers and three lefties), one outfielder, three infielders and one catcher.
