White Sox outright trio of players to Triple-A

The White Sox opened up some room on the 40-man roster Friday, when they outrighted catcher Bryan Anderson and relievers Ramon Troncoso and Brian Omogrosso to Triple-A Charlotte.

Anderson, 26, spent most of the season with Charlotte, where he batted .224 with seven home runs and 26 RBIs in 64 games. He batted .056 in 10 games with the White Sox in 2013. Overall, Anderson has hit .210 with a .265 on-base percentage in 35 games at the big league level.

Troncoso, a 30-year-old right-hander, signed with the White Sox as a free agent last November and pitched to a 1-4 record and a 4.50 ERA in 29 relief appearances. Prior to his stint with the White Sox, Troncoso logged an 8-8 record and a 3.92 ERA in four seasons with the Dodgers.

Omogrosso, a former sixth-round Draft selection, went 0-2 with a 9.37 ERA in 12 games for Chicago. Last year, the right-hander posted a 2.57 ERA in 17 appearances for the White Sox.

With those transactions, the White Sox now have 37 players on their 40-man roster.
