White Sox Charities to host "Wild Pitches" variety show

CHICAGO - Chicago White Sox Charities and the White Sox Wives will host a first-time variety show event - "Wild Pitches," presented by Magellan Corporation, on Thursday, July 25 at the Bridgeport Arts Center in Chicago.

This special variety show gives fans the opportunity to watch members of the White Sox showcase their off-the-field talents, including a musical performance from Paul and Jennifer Konerko, as well as a comedy skit by Matt Thornton and the bullpen pitchers, among others. The evening of comedy, music and entertainment will be hosted by WGN-TV sports anchor Pat Tomasulo and feature Chicago stand-up comedian Pat McGann. The event also includes both live and silent auction packages.

Participating members of the White Sox Wives group include Heather Axelrod, Ashley Danks (wife of Jordan Danks), Rachel Dunn, Brittany Fletcher (Gordon Beckham's fiancée), Nancy Flowers, Lacey Jones and Brianne Sale, among others. A very limited number of tickets are available now for $200 each, which includes admission to the event, hors d'oeuvres, cocktails and a dinner buffet.   Tickets can be purchased at whitesoxcharities.org.

Proceeds from the event will be directed to Ronald McDonald House near Lurie Children's Hospital in Chicago, which supports the needs of families whose children are receiving treatment at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago and the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago.
