Beckham out of lineup, gets chance to rest hand

KANSAS CITY -- Gordon Beckham wasn't in the White Sox lineup on Saturday, as Jeff Keppinger got the start at second base.

Manager Robin Ventura said he still wants to be careful with Beckham, who was on the disabled list from April 10 through June 2 with a left hand fracture.

"The way his hand is, we can get him a day here, play a game, a day off, play two and get him another day off," Ventura said, noting the two off-days next week.
