White Sox recall Donnie Veal from Class AAA Charlotte


Prior to today's game at Los Angeles-AL, the Chicago White Sox recalled left-handed pitcher Donnie Veal from Class AAA Charlotte. 

Veal, 28, went 1-0 with a 0.00 (8.0 IP) in four games with Charlotte, allowing 10 hits with two walks and 10 strikeouts.

Veal made the White Sox Opening Day roster, going is 1-0 with a 4.26 ERA (3 ER/6.1 IP) and one hold over 12 relief appearances, before being optioned to Charlotte on May 1. He held left-handers to a .094 (3-32) average for the Sox in 2012.

The White Sox optioned right-hander Deunte Heath to Charlotte following last night's win over the Angels.
