KANSAS CITY -- Outfielder Dayan Viciedo continues to make steady progress as he works to get back in the White Sox lineup.
Viciedo has been on the disabled list with a left oblique strain, but manager Robin Ventura said Viciedo may be ready for a rehabilitation assignment in the near future.
"There's a chance, in the next few days, that he would be going out," Ventura said.
Viciedo has taken swings during the team's stay in Kansas City with no ill effects.
