White Sox recall Jordan Danks from class AAA Charlotte


Prior to tonight's game at Toronto, the Chicago White Sox recalled outfielder Jordan Danks from Class AAA Charlotte.  To make room for Danks on the active roster, the White Sox optioned right-handed pitcher Deunte Heath to Charlotte following last night's game against the Blue Jays.

Danks, 26, was batting .333 (17-51) with two home runs, five RBI and nine runs scored in 13 games with the Knights this season.  The younger brother of Chicago pitcher John Danks, he appeared in 50 games with the White Sox in 2012, hitting .224 (15-67) with one home run and four RBI.  

Danks will wear uniform No. 20.

Heath, 27, appeared in one game with the White Sox this season after being recalled from Charlotte on April 12.
