CHICAGO -- Joe Crede once again opted not to talk with the media when approached in the White Sox clubhouse on Monday afternoon.
But the All-Star third baseman did say that he would be traveling to Dallas on Thursday to see noted spine specialist Dr. Andrew Dossett to get a second MRI taken of his bothersome back.
Crede, who finished the 2008 season with a .248 average, 17 home runs and 55 RBIs, has been out of action since leaving early from a Sept. 2 game against Cleveland at Progressive Field and has been sidelined with inflammation in his back. The 30-year-old 2006 Silver Slugger winner is eligible for free agency when this current campaign comes to a close.
