ARLINGTON -- Injured White Sox closer Bobby Jenks will throw a bullpen session on Saturday. Jenks, suffering from left scapula bursitis, has been out of commission since June 29 and was placed on the disabled list Wednesday, retroactive to June 30. Saturday's throwing session will go a long way towards finding out how soon Jenks will return after the All-Star break. Early indications are that Jenks will be ready to come off the DL for the club's first game after the break.
In the meantime, Scott Linebrink, Matt Thornton and Octavio Dotel are all considered options to enter games in save situations. Before the injury, Jenks anchored the Chicago bullpen this season with 18 saves and a 1.95 ERA.
