Spent the 2011-16 seasons as the Sox minor-league pitching coordinator ... during his tenure with the Sox, helped oversee the development of major-leaguers Chad Bradford, Mark Buehrle, Josh Fogg, Matt Guerrier, Boone Logan and Dan Wright ... Served as pitching coach with Class AA Birmingham in 2001 and oversaw the first Opening Night no-hitter in Southern League history on 4/5/01 vs. Tennessee.


Pitched in the White Sox organization from 1987-91, posting a 34-30 record with a 3.51 ERA (219 ER/561.2 IP) and 12 complete games over 97 games (82 starts)...Registered career bests with 26 starts, 185.2 IP and six complete games with Class A South Bend in 1988 … went 14-8 with a 3.39 ERA (62 ER/164.2 IP) and four complete games (three shutouts) over 25 starts with Class A Sarasota in 1989...Was selected by the Sox in the 21st round of the 1987 draft.


Married Mary … has two children: Andrew and Alyssa … his son, Drew, is 15-8 with a 3.21 ERA (85 ER/238.1 IP) in 122 games over four seasons in the White Sox minor-league system ... Graduated in 1983 from Roanoke-Benson (Ill.) High School, where he was an All-State selection in basketball and baseball … played college baseball at Bradley University in Peoria, Ill.
